INSURANCE

Spirit Gate Wellness is not contracted with any insurance companies, but we will happily provide you with a super bill and any needed assistance in seeking reimbursement. If you have a PPO, our in-house biller can verify your insurance benefits and submit claims on your behalf.

Cancellations

We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent you from keeping an appointment. While we would prefer 48 hours notice, we require at least 24 for a cancellation. This allows other patients that are on our wait list to be notified. Cancellations without at least 24 hours notice will incur a fee for the full amount of the service.

Parking

We have a parking lot behind our wellness studio as well as abundant street and meter parking on Cochran and Pico. If parking behind the studio, please feel free to enter through our back door.

What should I wear?

The goal is for you to be comfortable. Think of something that you would like to take a short nap in. Loose-fitting clothes is preferred, and we always have spare sheets and blankets in case you need them.

What are the benefits?

Acupuncture is a 3000 year old form of preventative medicine that encourages all systems in your body to function optimally. Super thin, single-use, sterile needles are gently inserted into specific points on the body to encourage circulation of Qi and Blood. When these energies uniformly flow through the body, people look and feel healthy and vibrant.

What is included?

Each treatment begins with a thorough review of your symptoms and goals. Along with needling, which is described in detail here, appointments can also include moxibustion, cupping, electro-stimulation, ear seeds, nutritional, lifestyle and herbal counseling, and/or aromatherapy. Appointments will vary depending on what is needed to meet your goals and optimize your Qi that day.
